Everyone loves to have a healthy and beautiful smile. But unfortunately some people’s teeth are crooked, crowded have overbite, under bite, cross bite or many such issues which can make their smile look ugly. In such cases smile can be corrected using braces. Braces have been around for a long time and can fix issues in many such cases. But many people used to refrain from wearing braces because they comprise of metal chunks, wires and screws which can make a person’s smile to look ugly. Also it sometimes takes up to five years for these braces to correct the smile. But now there is a new option called invisalign for people who want to correct their smiles

These are made of clear transparent plastic which are hardly noticeable when worn on a person’s teeth. Invisalign is designed using computerized programmes and they can easily provide details about the exact time frame of the treatment. The treatment duration is very less when compared to conventional braces. The invisalign treatment usually comprises of 6 to 48 trays which have to be inserted after every two weeks. Every tray has the capacity to move teeth by approximately 0.26 to 0.33 millimetres on an average.

The duration of treatment with invisalign vary anywhere between 15 to 18 months according to some dentists. But it is again dependant on the wearer, the extent of movement required etc. For invisalign to provide best results, a person has to wear it approximately for about 22 hours in a day. It can be removed before eating or drinking something except water. Even though everyone loves to get that beautiful smile faster, patience is required in case of treatment with invisalign. Invisalign aligners have very less restrictions when compared to the traditional metal braces. They are quite comfortable and hence lessens the incidence of injuries in the mouth and gums.
