For so long everyone assumed coffee was bad for you. It was considered a vice.
It definitely can be addictive, and it can cause adverse reactions in some people. I am not a doctor, but I have always thought that coffee must have benefits. My parents have been coffee drinkers since before I was born. They are both in their 80’s, alert and doing pretty well. My dad’s theory has always been, “everything in moderation.” Coffee may be the one thing he makes an exception for since he drinks it day and night.
One thing I have learned is that if you do drink coffee you want it to be organic and sourced from a reputed company. That is very important because non-organic coffee is usually heavily sprayed with pesitcides and herbacides. The poisons consumed from non-organic coffee would cancel out the benefits of coffee. So… if you must drink non-organic coffee you might consider not drinking coffee at all for your health.
